Anna Zett is an artist, writer, maker of films and radio plays. Working alone and in teams, Zett combines historical research and analysis with a playful, dialogic practice rooted in the present environment. Her first larger project dealt with the dinosaur as an animated paradox. Initially an academic research for Humboldt University Berlin, it lead to two videos, both published in 2014, that were screened at Serpentine Gallery Extinction Marathon London, Whitney Museum New York, CAC Vilnius, Sonic Acts Festival, Rhizome.org, Human Resources Los Angeles, SALT Istanbul and many other contexts. In recent years Zett has written and directed two experimental radio plays for the German public radio, and (co-)hosted various participatory formats between story telling and choreography. Zett’s audio/ video installations and performances have been hosted by TENT Rotterdam, Artists Space New York, HKW Berlin and elsewhere. She is a founding member of the project space Very in Berlin.
